Music Theory
Cynthia also has great interest in music theory and history. A student of Dr. Chris Jones, she enjoys many musical eras but is most fascinated with Impressionism (especially that of Debussy) and use of European folk music in works of Stravinsky and Bartok. She finds musical analysis to be pivotal in performance and believes that musical expression is aided by knowledge of fundamental harmony.
